A tragedy took you from us,and things will never be the same. Today is not the same tomorrow will not be the same. Life without you here with us has left an empty place.With so much laughter and love that you gave..thank you,,for those whose lives you touched,thank you. You were our future even though you didnt know it.You just loved life and playing,,.waggin' that tail ,always a sweet whistle. To look into those eyes anybodies heart would melt. Even though you were a gorgeous baby and correct in structure ,with a gorgeous gait,your best was your soul.

Now you go play at the bridge ,,dont look back sweet girl,,,,,,,,,,,,

I remember when I first saw photos' of River and her litter mates.

I knew this was a special litter!! I love and show English Mastiffs,

but I was so excited about this litter of blood hounds! The time

came to go see them, I went with a friend, who would be taking one of

these precious babies home. They were so beautiful, delightful, fun,

loving, squiggly and filled with energy to burn. LOL...

On the car ride home River was so good. Except for her snuggling,

you wouldn't have known she was in the car. I was so excited , my

Cali (mastiff pup) in the near future would be showing with River as

we had with Odin (Odie~Toadie), the first blood hound I had known.

Odins' enthusiasm and happy go lucky attitude was captivating. Cali

and Odin soon became fast friends.

When River came to our home to stay till the Alabama show, she

captured my heart. I fell totally in love with this little girl.

Her silly, comical ways. I can still see her dashing around,

tripping on her ears. Her dynamic attitude with our pack which

consist of 2 adult mastiffs, 1 mastiff pup, 2 yorkies and a german

shepherd pup. River bounced around with all them, totally fearless.

Our pack was so good with her, it was as if she had always been a

part of our pack. Our mastiffs played carefully with her, especially

Cali and Prada, our shepherd, took the role as River's guardian.

LOL.. Family and friends would come and visit, we were always

entertained and enchanted by her spirit. Meeting Lou in Alabama was

bitter sweet. I was torn, I so wanted to keep River, but knew it

wasn't fair to her, as I already had two pups so close in age. This

special girl had found a special place in my heart, that time nor

distance would not diminish. Many tears later Lou called and we

talked of co- owning River. I didn't hesitate, to have a part in

this special girl's life-You Bet!! She would be close enough for us

to go show at her and Envy's shows. Cali would have new bh friends,

she is fun-loving as them. I've always teased that Cali had spent so

much time with Odin that she thinks she's a blood hound! LOL!

Lou was great at sending pictures of this precious girl growing up

with Envy as her cohort in their silly antics!

Savannah and River had been training well. We were so excited

about showing in Franklin at Savannah and River's debut, but that was

not meant to be, for she had another debut to make.

River, you always brought a smile to my face and made me laugh.

You

brought joy to my heart. Your bouncing all around and clowning, your

innocent looks as if to say, NOT ME, mom, one of the others did it,

NOT ME honest. LOL.. Most of all I will miss your pure heart, that

held love so precious to last a lifetime. I will always miss you, my

sweet,sweet River, but I know I will see you again and you will be

waiting for when I make my debut.

My Gossip,I remember back how we went to class,boy did we have so much to learn. even though you didnt like it you still went with no fuss. You just wanted to be with me,as long as we were together you were happy. Little did you know you were a dream come true. At the hotels you would love to get on the beds and just roll around. That is the part you liked of showing,lol,You would give me the woo woo woo and a grin. Carrying your stuffed toys around. even held a monkey while birthing your first litter,,silly girl. We are told time will heal our broken hearts but this is one blow I am just going to have to learn to live with. You left to soon way to young. You were a treasure and just a blessing to have. please know you will never be forgotten and what I would give to hear that woo woo woo you done. Just a beautiful girl with the softest skin and those lips oh those lips,,I just cant express the loss I feel without you here,,I am so sorry you left like you did. you didnt deserve that at all. You done everything I ever asked of you,,I am so sorry my GOSSIP, I love you and miss you so. You were a once in a lifetime dream........................
